I attended the Monitoring Social Media conference in San Francisco this week, organized by InfluencePeople, a social media events and training company founded by Luke Brynley Jones and Murray Newlands.   They started these events in London and are now apparently expanding their activities to the US; the event series started in Boston in early October, and will end in New York City in November.
